Chedham's Yard is a blacksmith's and wheelwright's workshop dating from the early 19th century and is a prize-winning heritage site. The Yard was run by five generations of the Chedham family, the last of whom, Bill Chedham recently passed away. The Yard is crammed with tools, equipment and items made on site along with the materials to make them.
The Yard has been restored with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and BBC Restoration after it beat churches, chapels and a gallery to win the BBC Restoration Village television programme in 2006.
Opening times
Saturdays between 29 Apr and 30 Sep: 10am - 2pm (4pm on Special Events days) & two events on 28 Oct and 16 Dec.
