Following the success of the inaugural Burton upon Trent Food Festival in July, local event organisers Cocker Hoop Creative are set to bring a series of monthly ‘Grub Clubs’ to Burton Market Hall.

The new monthly events, which are free to attend, will feature a mouth-watering line up of traders and bars, offering the finest in street food, cocktails and drinks, plus a line-up of live entertainment.

These family friendly events promise a fantastic atmosphere with the season kicking off on Thursday 26 October with a Spooky Halloween night.

In addition to the ‘Grub Club’ events, East Staffordshire Borough Council are working with Cocker Hoop Creative to hold another Food & Drink Festival on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 December. The event, located in and around the Market Place and Hall will feature a wide range of food and drink traders, carol singers, live music and a Santa's Grotto for under 12’s to enjoy.

Councillor Paul Walker, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Cultural Development, said: “We are excited to be working in partnership with Cocker Hoop Creative to deliver a program of exciting events and festivals in Burton upon Trent. As well as being fantastic entertainment for residents and visitors, the events will also help support the local night time economy.”

Sue Simpkiss, Event Manager for Cocker Hoop Creative, said: “Our Grub Club nights and Food Festivals are always the best of times for everyone concerned, not only because they don’t cost you a penny to turn up but traders and local businesses benefit from the increase in visitors to the town!”
