A new exhibition ‘Dressing the Royals - Costumes from film and TV spanning over 400 years of royal fashion’ opens this Saturday at Stoke-on-Trent's The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, just in time for the Coronation weekend.

The exhibition features costumes created by Cosprop Costumeries for film and television, highlighting period styles from the 16th to the 20th century worn by kings and queens.

The display will include a gown from ‘Elizabeth’ starring Cate Blanchett, ‘The Kings Speech’ and the Netflix series ‘The Crown’.

The exhibition is supplemented with items from the museums own collection celebrating years of royal history and include the ceremonial robes of Lord and Lady Bagot worn to the Coronation of Elizabeth II in 1953.
