Stoke-on-Trent’s The Potteries Centre will see the return of multi award-winning circus company Upswing for a series of workshop and performances called Circus Flavours throughout the February half term.

Taking place from Thursday 15 to Saturday 17 February, the free workshops and performances will provide families from across Staffordshire the chance to enjoy the excitement of the world of the Circus first-hand.

Located outside of Primark, visitors will be able to watch performances by some of the UK’s most talented circus artists before having a go at learning some highly skilled tricks and moves. From object manipulation, acrobatics, and aerial, discover those hidden talents with the help of experienced artists who will guide its workshop participants along the way. Paying homage to Valentine’s Day, the workshops and performances from Upswing will take inspiration from the theme of love.

The programme, which is delivered in partnership with the New Vic, sees Upswing and the renowned theatre come together to bring extraordinary performances and interactive workshops that are perfect for all the family.

Alongside the circus-themed fun, The Potteries Centre will celebrate all things love on Valentine’s Day, for everyone from romantic couples to family to friends to caregivers. On Valentine’s Day, visitors may be surprised by Staffordshire’s very own ‘Cupid’, who will be spreading the love and surprising visitors with gifts.

Before attending, make sure to sign up online to secure a place in the workshop at eventbrite.co.uk.
