A Shropshire theatre company is celebrating its 50th anniversary by taking up residence in the recently refurbished Ludlow Assembly Rooms.

Pentabus has produced more than 300 new plays since forming in 1974, in the process supporting 220 playwrights and reaching over half a million audience members.

The company has moved to the Assembly Rooms from the farm estate at the Old School in Bromfield, which had been its base for 40 years.
