MAC have announced a fresh season of new and exciting events for 2023.
Join them for a selection of exciting performances this season, ranging from tummy-tickling comedy to hard-hitting and life-changing theatre. On Wednesday 8 March, Anna Clover brings her Going Deutsch comedic show to MAC – all about relationships, inherited trauma and how much the past shapes the future. Little Solider: Nothing Happens (Twice) will be showcasing on Friday 17 March. Expect a hilarious and moving exploration of companionship, co-dependency and what motivates us to keep going, even in the face of failure and bureaucratic brick walls.
Moving through to the end of March, Katie Guicciardi will be performing Fox; a brutally honest and amusing exploration of new motherhood in an increasingly isolating society.
Cherish independent cinema this season with MAC’s contemporary line-up of beautiful, fantastical and uniquely expressive films. Check out our Reel & Meal screening of Martin Scorsese’s Good Fellas on Friday 20 January; enjoy a delicious meal crafted by their independent Café KILN before your screening. Colour Box is back with an exciting schedule of screenings and workshops ahead, such as Labyrinth on Sunday 8 January, My Neighbour Totoro on Sunday 5 February, Sita Sings The Blues on Sunday 5 March and Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs on Sunday 2 April.
Practise good habits in 2023 with the assistance of MAC’s Creative Courses programme. Prioritise your health and find your inner Zen through our Yang Tai Chi classes, scheduled for this season. With classes for beginners, intermediates and advanced individuals, there is something for everyone’s ability.
MAC’s Creative Course programme also offers Jewellery and Glass courses, located in their jewellery studio. Unleash your inner creatively crafty side and join them for Introduction to Jewellery between Monday 9 January – Monday 27 March. Alternatively, they have Stained Glass for all levels taking place between Monday 9 January – Monday 27 March 2023.
Join MAC for Grayson’s Art Club: The Exhibition – featuring artworks chosen by Grayson and guest celebrities during season three of the popular TV series, Grayson’s Art Club.
Why not treat yourself to MAC's colourful Afternoon Tea afterwards? Offering a selection of fresh sandwiches, delicious sweet treats and tea/coffee with a twist, or if you fancy a bit of fizz, you can add on some prosecco.
An additional exhibition present at MAC is Craftspace’s: {Queer} + {Metals}, featuring artworks by eight UK artists, with video interviews and an Instagram campaign. This exhibition explores the multiplicity of queerness through metalwork and metalsmithing. Displaying until Sunday 2 April 2023.
