Birmingham’s Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) is hosting a specially themed event for Valentine's Day on the evening of 14 February.
The Edgbaston venue is inviting couples to celebrate the occasion with a delicious meal in its KILN kitchen, followed by a screening of classic ’90s romance Ghost, starring Demi Moore, Patrick Swayze and Whoopi Goldberg. With its mix of comedy and suspense, the much-loved American fantasy is considered to be one of the most romantic movies of all time.
And as an extra-special treat, couples wishing to re-enact Ghost’s classic pottery wheel scene between Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore can do so courtesy of MAC's very own pottery wheels, which are being made available for the evening.
Valentine's meal menu choices include sharing platters (veggie and meat options available), pork belly or beetroot & feta risotto. A sharing trio dessert comprises rhubarb & ginger cheesecake, chocolate cherry brownie, lemon meringue pie and vanilla ice cream.
Three dining slots are available: 6.45pm, 7pm & 7.15pm. The film screening begins at 8.30pm.
