Birmingham Hippodrome Associate Motionhouse, sent the cast of its family show Starchitects into space at Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum.
The performers landed in Birmingham to continue their UK tour of Starchitects, which is launching onto the Hippodrome stage on Friday 3 February and Saturday 4 February.
With its mix of gravity-defying choreography and digital projections, Starchitects is a visual spectacle using the dance-circus fusion that the company is renowned for. Full of fun and thrilling surprises, Starchitects has an easy-to-follow and humorous storyline, making it perfect for a fun and entertaining trip out with children, friends or the whole family.
The show builds on the success of Motionhouse’s critically acclaimed production of Nobody at the Hippodrome last year.
Louise Richards, Executive Director at Motionhouse said: “As a proud Associate of Birmingham Hippodrome, we are thrilled to bring Starchitects to the Hippodrome for two days.
“The show is engaging for audiences of all ages – from tiny tots to older siblings, parents, grandparents and people looking for a fun night out at the theatre with friends. Starchitects allows us to revisit the magic of our childhood imagination where anything is possible…when a cardboard box can be a train and a dressing up box is the start of countless thrilling adventures.”
Louise added: “The first performance of Starchitects on Friday 3 February will be a Relaxed performance, which will see a reduction in sensory aspects such as bright lights and loud noise, and more flexibility to move around, making the show more accessible to those who might find a visit to the theatre challenging.”
Starchitects is at Birmingham Hippodrome on Friday 3 February and Saturday 4 February. Tickets can be booked online at birminghamhippodrome.com
